How to clean up registry redundancy?

 

What is Registry Cleanup?

Registry is a large systematical database to manage and save all the configured information of the applications and computer system. Registry Cleanup can help you clean up the registry redundancy and system trash. It can help clear the invalid info of activex and class issue, missing shared Dll, Start Menu Ordering and Installer and applications in registry. So you can keep the registry organized, improve the system capability and system stability.

 

When do you use Registry Cleanup?

Provided that your computer runs at a low speed, or you find there are much registry redundancy or unnecessary registry information left in your computer after you download something, install/uninstall some programs or doing other computer activities, you can turn to Registry Cleanup for help. It’s one of Spotmau PowerSuite 2009’s highly recommended tools, which can quickly clean your PC.

Procedure of cleaning up the registry redundancy:

  1. Click the System Cleanupbutton on the interface of Spotmau PowerSuite 2009 and enter into the Registry Cleanup page, then you will see the following page:

  

 

2.  There are four kinds of unnecessary registry information that you can choose to clean up, which include ActiveX and Class Issue, missing shared Dll, Start Menu Ordering and Installer and applications. Tick the one(s) that you want to delete, as followed:

3.  After choosing the one(s) that you want to delete, click the button “Analyze” to begin the registry redundancy analyzing. Then you will see all the unnecessary registry information that have been detected, as shown in the following:

4.  Choose the unnecessary registry information that you want to delete and click the button “Delete” to clear them. Deleting is completed with the following page shown:

(Tips: After you click Delete to clear the information, a dialog will pop up to remind you of data loss if you delete the information, as followed. Therefore, registry backing up is strongly recommended before this operation.)
