How to back up DPT (disk partition table)?

What is Windows Backup:

Windows Backup can backup your entire Windows, or the core parts of it, such as, DPT (Disk Partition Table), registry and MBR (Master boot Record) to a destination partition, including internal disk and external disk. You can restore it from these backup files when your Windows gets corrupted or unstable.

 

Procedure of backing up DPT:

  1. Click the Windows Recovery>Windows Backup button on the interface of Spotmau PowerSuite 2009 and enter the “Windows Backup” page, as followed:

 

 

  1. Choose DPT Backup from the following:

 

 

  1. To input the Save Path of the targeted backup, you can follow these two ways:
    1. Directly type in the save directory in the textbox of “Save Path”:

 

  1. Click the button  to help you locate the destination folder:

 

 

  1. In convenience to identification, inputting Remark information for different restore points is suggested.

 

  1. To have DPT scheduled backup, first of all, you should tick “Scheduled Backup”, like this:

 

Then click “Enable” , and it will enter a dialog as followed:

 

 

 

  1. Fill in the Windows account and password. Then click “Apply”.

 

(Tips: if you haven’t set your password, please go to Windows Account Management in the Control Panel to set one, then enable the Scheduled Backup.)

 

  1. Then scheduled backup adding is completed.

 

 

  1. You can click  to set the Backup Speed and the type of split image.

 

(Tips: Nowadays, since the user’s disk is usually big enough, our software sets 2.0 GB as the default size. But users still can change the size according to actual need.

If you are not sure which type of split image should be set, just choose . When there is not enough space in your disk, it will automatically split into suitable size to deposit the file.)

 

  1. After finish all settings, click  at the end of the page. Wait for a few minutes and DPT Backup is completed.

 

 

 

NOTES:

Please backup your Windows frequently when your Windows is in good condition. You can recover your Windows with BootCare Windows Recovery from this backup file when your Windows is corrupted.
