What is Windows Cleanup?
Windows Cleanup can help you clean up the visited websites in IE address bar, IE contemporary folder, malicious cookie(you can select and delete the unneeded cookie after scanning), and trace of computer activities(such as surfing online, browsing pictures and opening files etc.). In this way, you can clean up the junk file and speed up Windows.
When do you use Windows Cleanup?
Provided that your computer runs in a low speed, or you find there are many junk files left in your computer after you searching the Internet or doing other computer activities, you can turn to Windows Cleanup for help. It’s one of Spotmau PowerSuite 2009’s highly recommended tools, which can quickly clean your PC.
Procedure of clearing desktop shortcut:
- Click the “System Cleanup” button on the interface of Spotmau PowerSuite 2009 and you will see the Windows Cleanup page:
2. You can see a list of different kinds of Windows records of your PC. Tick the “Desktop Shortcut”, as followed:
3. After choosing the one(s) that you want to clear, click the button “Scan” to begin the Windows junk files scanning. Then you will see all the junk files that have been detected, as shown in the following:
4. If you determine to clean the junk files that have been examined, click the button “Clean” to delete all of them. The following is the process of cleaning:
5. The cleaning is completed.
6. After the cleaning, it will pop up a window which asks your permission to restart your PC to make your cleaning take effect. Choose Yes or No as you like.
7. If you want to go back to the previous page after the cleaning, click the button “Back” to achieve it.

Be cautious: Before you decide to clean up the junk files that have been examined, you’d better back up some necessary register information in Register Backup to make sure that you save some important information. Otherwise, it will be too late.
